Stefano Dorian Franco (aka: Stefano Dorian Franco-Bora, degli Franchi da Ceva ed La Briga) is an Italo-French author and a multidisciplinary cultural creator, born on September 9, 1973, in Paris.
Self-taught, he chose to leave Paris, the gentry of his origins, and school, at just 16 years old in 1989, to go travelling, under the pseudonym "Allen Katona", which he would keep from 1989 to 2003. He began with a trilogy of war correspondences: he plunged in 1992 into the siege of Sarajevo (UNPROFOR military accreditation no. 5889), in South Lebanon in 1993 (EMAC Prize, École Nationale des Mines), then in 1995 into the jungle of Cambodia (CMAC/UNESCO Phototheque ban landmines campaigns).
From 1996 to 2000, he moved toward ethnography, humanitarian work, and extreme field sports in India, Nepal and Asia. There he wrote the ethnology book "Voir l'aube à Bénarès" in 1997, and received from the government the National Laureate Prize in the category "International Solidarity" in 1998.
3 decades of “crossing genres transversally” — “traverser les genres en transversal”: ops in war zones, tribal ethnography, humanitarian work, literature, opera, theatre, happenings, historical research on the previous centuries from the Renaissance up to the ontology of AI in the 21st century.
