World Premiere – Paris, July 14th 2025
A new AI-driven digital art Extended universe collection
Studio SFB is proud to unveil the international launch of HOMMAGE TRIBUTE 14 JUILLET BASTILLE DAY REMIX TIME MACHINE, a bold and thought-provoking digital art series created by French-Italian multidisciplinary creator Stefano Dorian Franco.
A Time-Traveling Political Allegory
This collection of 46 hyper-realistic and surreal paintings takes the viewer on a journey through time — from the streets of revolutionary Paris in 1789 to the military parades of today’s Bastille Day. Drawing inspiration from real historical events and characters, the series invites reflection on the cycles of power, justice, and resistance that shape our societies.
Past Meets Future
Each image blends documentary-style realism (based on actual iconographic sources from the period) with anachronistic elements and uncanny juxtapositions. The result is a dreamlike remix of French history where kings, queens, and revolutionaries reappear in today’s world: Louis XVI glimpses his downfall through a laptop screen, the tour Eiffel non built at this time, a military parade is haunted by the ghosts of the King, the Emperor Napoleon, the General De Gaulle, then Marianne the symbol of the French republic.
Three Heroines, Three Fates
At the heart of this visual chronicle are Marie-Antoinette, Olympe de Gouges, and Madame du Barry — three iconic women from the Ancien Régime and the Revolution, each condemned to the guillotine. They serve as the narrative guides through this “time machine,” alongside other fateful figures such as Danton, Camille Desmoulins, Robespierre, Charlotte Corday, Lucile Desmoulins, Madame Roland…
Their destinies echo one another, raising timeless questions about gender, power, sacrifice, and historical memory.
A Mirror of Social Evolution
Through expressive compositions, mystical atmospheres, and symbolic imagery, this collection acts as a mirror of our contemporary world — inviting the viewer to question what has truly changed in over two centuries of revolution, republics, and remembrance.
How do we celebrate freedom? Whom do we forget? What myths do we carry forward?
A Visual Meditation on History
This immersive visual journey unfolds as a sociological fresco, both historical and speculative. It is a tribute to those who shaped — and were crushed by — the storm of revolution, as well as a meditation on the persistence of ideals in the face of time.
Historical Research Meets AI Surrealism
All characters, costumes, and settings are based on meticulous historical documentation, then reinterpreted through the lens of digital imagination. The blending of styles — Baroque, Romantic, cinematic — creates a unique aesthetic of post-historical beauty.
An Artistic Time Capsule
With 46 original artworks forming a cohesive narrative, this collection stands as a “time capsule” remixing past, present, and future — in honor of the 14th of July, and beyond.
